Did Rock Hudson have AIDS?
Did Rock Hudson have AIDS?
30.07.2014, 17:34
Rank: 7
This month:
One of the most successful actors of the 50s and the 60s, Rock Hudson, died of this disease, AIDS. Especially loved because of exceptional roles in movies or romantic comedies, Hudson, on behalf of Roy Harold Scherer really could not stop the disease, and died exactly at 59 years old, when he started to gather the laurels for his incredible career. With a life more than controversial,Rock Hudson, it seems, did not want to consider the consequences that any exposure of his life may have brought. In 1984, the actor was diagnosed with AIDS, being infected with HIV. However, several years before being diagnosed with the terrible disease, the press began to report that Hudson was, in fact, homosexual. His agent kept away from the media the true sexual orientation of the American actor, not wanting to jeopardize his professional life.Immediately after it became known that Rock had AIDS, the media began to circulate the rumors eventually and the actor admitted his sexual orientation. Indeed, the artist appeared in front of the public, being incoherent and looking terrible. Of course the press soon took grabbed the opportunity and got him dissected. After the doctor told him he could not do anything, because the disease had advanced and chances were minimal, Hudson retired from public life and, just as the media reported, he waited to die.
