Does cycling help us lose weight?

Does cycling help us gain muscular development or is it a good way of loosing weight too? What do you think about cycling? I love going by bicycle to my job and i love riding on it on long distances, i feel so refreshed and renewed. What is your point of view about this sport?

Sports are good and fun so cycling has its parts too. I think, regularly practiced, cycling can help you loose weight and in the same time your muscles get a new shape. As long as you have an objective like loosing weight, gain some muscular development and have fun, cycling seams to be the perfect type of sport you might enjoy.

P.S. An advice: in order to feel better take the pedals! :)

I think it really does, in some ways. I mean, if i take care of may daily diet namely not eating junk food and too much meat, beak etc. in baked oil i think i could see some difference at my whole look. Of course, jogging and cardio phisycal excercises are much more effective, but cycling develops stamina, legs muscles and trains bones and muscles of the back. So loosing weight when cycling is a good choice if you combine it with a little healthier customs.
