Has Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 lost its fans?
Has Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 lost its fans?

This month:
Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 is an upcoming Activision game, the eight installment in the Call of Duty franchise, but so far it's got a lot of problems due to the previous releases' bugs and general issues on multiplayer, which caused a lot of discontent among the Call of Duty players, most notably the Playstation 3 ones. So what happened that caused so much anger and disappointment, and why are fans not looking forward as much to Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3?

Well, for one, the Call of Duty : Black Ops was released a bit faster than it should have in order to keep up with the promised launch date, however this in turn made extensive game testing, especially on the multiplayer aspect, just a dream. One could say that it should have been just a beta considering the amounts of bugs encountered. There were so many in fact, that a lot of Playstation 3 owners made a pressure group which said that they were used like game testers. A just as large group of Playstation 3 players have demanded a refund with another petition, however all they got were lots of patches. However, now Sledgehammer and Activision, in order to gain back their fans, have promised a bug free Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 game that will receive ratings of at least 95 out of 100. It does indeed sound like a dream, but considering the incredible venues of past Call of Duty games, they have the budget to make it happen. On a side note, no game in history has been released without any bugs whatsoever, so this won't be too helpful for the developers to keep their promise.

Another important entry in the Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 history is the counter lawsuit from Activision Blizzard , against the former Infinity Wards bosses Vince Zampella and Jason West, who also made it official that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 was already in development. This came as no surprise, considering the obscene amount of profit that Modern Warfare 2, Modern Warfare and Black Ops made.

Although the developers plan on sticking to releasing a new Call of Duty game every year, it seems unlikely that Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 3 will be released in 2011 especially considering the promises they made for it. All in all, the situation isn't looking as good as it used to for the Call of Duty upcoming release.
