Assassin's Creed 2 was the long awaited sequel to the Assassin's Creed, a unique game released by the famous Ubisoft, a company which build itself upon releasing high quality games.

There were great expectations with Assassin's Creed 2, especially considering the number of praises given to the first game in the franchise by many critique sources in the gaming industry. They also had to bring in some new content, which by itself was hard considering how big Assassin's Creed is. But they did meet their expectations, and maybe even more.

The graphics were just slightly improved, but that was to be expected considering how beautiful the first game was. But they did manage to make it even better here, so there are really no cons in this section.

The storyline picks off where the first game left off, so it stays true to it's origins. It is just as addictive, interesting and compelling as the first one, plus it adds even more unexpected twists and events which is always welcome. It involves both the real world and the one where you play as the actual assassin, but this time expect something new in both worlds.

The gameplay in Assassin's Creed 2 is pretty much the same as it was in Assassin's Creed. However, the game engine has been improved and you can tell this by the flow of the assassin's movement as he jumps from building to building and how he performs in combat. It's much more fluid and realistic than how it was at the beginning. There are still some minor flaws in the AI, but so far this is an issue with every game on the market since it's almost impossible to perfect. The bugs in the game are barely noticeable, and most people probably never even noticed them so it's yet another testimony to the amount of work put in developing this amazing game.

The atmosphere in Assassin's Creed 2 is flawless. The environment perfectly matches the era it's supposed to represent, and the people living in it, both civilians and law enforcers, act appropriately to the respective period in time. The developers and designers did a great job creating this wonderful immersing world.

All in all, Assassin's Creed 2 is yet another amazing game by Ubisoft, which continue to raise their fame with high quality productions, and with new DLC and expansions promised, it looks to be even better in the future.
