What is the relation between photography and art, nowadays?
Through the XIX and XX centuries, photography (more precisely a small part of the photographic production) has gradually and slowly earned an artistic status and an incontestable place in the museums and art institutions. Yet, even though for some specialists and for the targeted audience things are clear, there is still a lot of confusion in defining the relationship between photography and art.
If we search on google for “art photography” we would be overwhelmed by thousands of kitsch images. If we search for “conceptual photography”, it would be the same. Even on Wikipedia which, despite all the critics it receives, most times it offers quite concrete information, in this case far from truth. So what do you think is the actual relation between photography and art?

Nowadays photography is a field that is included in the complex significances, art. There are photographers that have talent and passion for photos and for finding the best ways of making the most amazing photos. They kind of have the eye for seeing something unique and beautiful out of something that seems dull and unimpressive. This is what i think of photographers and the industry. It is a form of art because not everybody can take photos on the spot, not each of us knows how to immortalize a special moment. The fact that the specialists in the art of photography know how to underline some colors and shadows, light and dark represents one of the reasons why photography is a part of art.
